A poem I think a lot about lately

Thank you for posting this poem BeeHalton.com, in these times of turbulence, where voice is so very important. Hugs and kisses to you Bee, for this very buzz you generate. I will reblog and share, as we together work to protect all of our freedoms.

The Bee Writes...

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
