Hello. Yeah, it’s been a while.

Yiddish Proverb:

Hob ich a zorg! Zoll ich zorgen! Why should I worry! I should worry.

I want to thank so many of you who have reached out to me to see if I am okay. I am one lucky Yiddisheh momma, feeling such love and support around this globe! And, please know, I am okay. I am as okay as one can be, as a woman, a lesbian, and a Jew in these ‘guns blazing’ United States. I am out of my mind with worry over the upcoming mid-term elections, and I have a very important 4-letter word I would like to share with everyone. VOTE.

Vote like your life depended on it because it does. Vote for the kinder (children) who will inherit this madness we leave behind. Vote because your voice, it needs to be heard. Vote in solidarity against the racism, rhetoric, lies, hate, bias, and bigotry. Vote for those whose lives were stolen in Pittsburgh, in Jeffersontown, in too many towns to list.

VOTE.

That’s all I got right now. Nu, voos zugt eir gits? What the good word?

  1. I was wondering too … we hadn’t heard from you for a while. Hope you are well … or as well as you can be with that fruitbat and his supporters running your country. Yes, when it comes down to it, all we can do is vote, and hope enough people vote in a way that is constructive and kind. Good luck! #GlobalBlogging

  3. Voting is completed!!!! I’m so happy to see you back, with the events over the past month I saw a lot of US bloggers taking a bit of a break before elections. It’s getting so bad here, the media turns everything into a war – I wish everyone could meet in the middle and make resolutions for the greater good. #GlobalBlogging

    1. Thank you, beautiful Mac. It hurts, the pain this country is allowing. I am so sad for my girls growing up here, in a world of hate and violence. I gladly accept your love and light, dear friend. πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

    1. The violence is reprehensible. I don’t know how we can trun this around. At least we voted in a lot of gun sense folks across the country. I gotta believe we can fix it, and sometimes, I just breakdown and cry. xoxo #mixitup xoxo

      1. I’m right there with you Lisa. What’s happening today is completely not what I grew up believing this country to be and I’m continually dumbfounded at all the hatred not only in every day people but in our government. It’s downright depressing.
